What this site is
Nitafute is a new service for East Africans abroad. Today the site lets you join a waitlist, send a tip about a sample appeal, and ask for authority access. Registration, payments, WhatsApp check-ins and the authority search are not live yet.
Sample appeals
Every appeal currently shown is fictional and marked as a sample. They describe no real person. Please do not use the tip form to report real people or real emergencies. If someone is in danger, contact local emergency services.
Using the site
- Give accurate information in our forms and do not submit anyone else’s details without their knowledge.
- Do not misuse the site, try to break it, or send automated or abusive submissions.
- Do not use the tip form to harass, mislead or harm anyone.
Authorities
Access for police, hospitals, consulates and similar agencies is granted only after we verify the agency. Requesting access does not guarantee it.
Price
The planned price is $0.99/year per person at launch. It is shown for information and may change before registration opens. You are not charged anything today.
No guarantees
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided as is during this early release. Nitafute cannot promise that any person will be found or that any family will be reached.
