Privacy, in plain words.
Draft for the early release. Last updated October 2026. This page will be updated when registration opens.
What we collect today
We only collect what you type into our forms:
- Waitlist: your name, email, optional WhatsApp number, the country you are from (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania or other) and the country where you live now.
- Tips on an appeal: your name, a phone number or email, how you know the person, and your message.
- Authority access requests: agency name and type, contact name, official email, country and state or region, and your message.
For spam protection we also keep a short, one-way scrambled fingerprint of your network address (not the address itself) next to each submission, and use it to limit how often one connection can send forms.
What we do not collect
- No photos, selfies, face scans or biometric data of any kind in this release.
- No payments. Registration is not open yet.
- No advertising trackers. We do not sell or rent your information.
Who can see it
Your waitlist details and tips are never shown publicly. They are stored in our database and read only by the small Nitafute team. A tip about an appeal is passed to the authority that posted that appeal. Authority access requests are read only by us.
Why we use it
To tell you when registration opens, to pass tips to the right authority, and to decide which agencies to verify. Nothing else.
How long we keep it
Waitlist details are kept until registration has opened and you have chosen to join or not, or until you ask us to delete them. Tips and requests are kept only as long as needed for the case or review.
Your choices
Ask us at any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you. Email hello@nitafute.com from the address you used and we will act on it.
Where it is stored
Our site and database run on Cloudflare’s infrastructure. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which sees your browser’s request.
Children
Nitafute is for adults. Please do not use our forms if you are under 18.
